Overview
Mortar has many exciting benefits over Accumula, making unified commerce more powerful and easier to use.
Install Mortar now
All Accumula users must install Mortar by October 1, 2024. Just install the Mortar app from the Shopify app store. Mortar will automatically link to your existing Accumula account and billing plan. That's it!
Once installed, you will be able to take advantage of new streamlined workflows and easier troubleshooting, all within Shopify.
Things you need to know
Just install the Mortar app. Mortar automatically links to your existing Accumula account. You get tons of new functionality.

Improved tagging
The language and function of tags have changed. Mortar uses Action Tags, each of which directly reflects the product result in Shopify.
Moving forward, you'll use the "add" tag instead of "accumula", "shopify", "online", or "webstore". No need to update the tags on existing products.
Add publishes a product to Shopify
Delete deletes a product from Shopify
Active sets a product active in Shopify
Archive archives the product in Shopify

Continuous product linking
It is no longer necessary to tag a product to link it to an existing product in Shopify. Mortar automatically tries to find a matching product in Shopify whenever an unlinked product is updated. This includes products configured differently in each system; a single product in your POS can link to a Shopify variant, for example.

View in POS is here
Finding related info in your POS is now possible from within Shopify. On any product, variant, order, or customer in Shopify, select the More action menu, then choose Mortar's "View in POS" shortcut. The corresponding page in your POS will open automatically in a new tab.
Easily resync products and inventory from your POS
It is now simple to resync products or inventory from within Shopify. On any product, variant, or the product list in Shopify, select the More actions menu, then choose Mortar's "Resync product details" or "Resync inventory" shortcut.
Order routing and locations
Order routing now updates the order location assignments in Shopify, so the routing in Shopify and your POS is consistent. Shopify no longer charges for locations, so all POS locations should be mapped to Shopify, one-to-one. If a location is not mapped between POS and Shopify, it will show as "Inactive," and orders and inventory in that location will be ignored.
Account and billing changes
Nothing will change with your billing on installation. When your current billing period ends, Shopify requires that you choose a new billing plan to replace your Accumula billing plan. Shopify will handle billing after that as part of your Shopify bill.
Billing plans can be managed right within the Mortar app. Change your plan, add a location, or switch from monthly to yearly billing at your convenience. Your account permissions will be updated automatically.
