Updating Shopify product "cost per item"

Product cost in Shopify is updated by the value saved in your POS.

Updated over a month ago

Overview

Mortar syncs the cost reported in your POS to your Shopify variant's "cost per item" for users on Grow plan or above.

If your POS uses a calculated average cost value, this will be synced to the cost per item. Otherwise, the default cost will be synced.

It is expected that the cost will appear to be missing on brand-new products. Cost updates do not sync with the initial product creation cycle. Cost updates sync with inventory details, which occur shortly after a product is created on Shopify.
